Privacy notice

Lumibout privacy notice — Last updated: 7 November 2026

Lumibout runs live quizzes. We collect as little as we can.

Players (people joining a game) don't sign up. We keep the nickname you type, your answers and scores for that game, and the time you answered. The host can see and download these results. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number.

Hosts sign in with an email link. We keep your email address, the quizzes you create, and the results of games you host.

Pictures in quizzes are loaded from the web address the host provides. When a picture shows on your phone, your phone contacts that website directly, which can see your IP address. Hosts are warned to use links they trust.

Technical data. Our servers record IP addresses and basic request details in short-lived logs to keep the service running and to stop abuse (for example, too many join attempts). We don't use these to build profiles.

Cookies. Hosts get one sign-in cookie and one security cookie. Players get none. Your light/dark choice is stored only in your own browser. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

Visit counts. We count visits to our website with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn't follow you to other sites and doesn't collect personal data.

No ads, no selling. We don't show ads and we never sell or rent personal data.

Who processes data for us: Google Cloud (hosting, Singapore), Cloudflare (network and security), Resend (sending sign-in emails). They only process data to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it. Hosts' quizzes and results stay until the host deletes them or asks us to delete their account. Server logs are deleted on a rolling basis.

Your choices. Hosts can delete quizzes any time. To delete your account and everything in it, or to ask what we hold about you, email [email protected].

Children. Lumibout is used in classrooms. Players give only a nickname; teachers should tell students not to use their full name.

Changes. If we change this notice we'll update the date above.
