Year-end town hall games and icebreakers
A year-end town hall is a lot of listening. A few minutes of play gets everyone involved: a quiz about the year you just had, a couple of quick polls, and a lucky draw to finish. People join on their phones, in the hall or on the call.
Free for quizzes with up to 100 players and party games with up to 15.
What to play
Our year in review quiz
A ten-question outline to fill in with your own launches, milestones and team moments, plus three ready polls about next year.
Majority rules polls
Ask “Best moment of the year?” or “One word for next year?”. The big screen shows what the room says.
Lucky draw
Close the town hall with a prize draw for everyone connected, in the hall and online.
How to run it
- Fill in your year. Open the year in review template and replace the brackets with your own milestones, then mark the right answers. Keep it light: it’s a celebration, not a test.
- Share the PIN. Put the PIN on the stage screen and in the meeting chat. People in the hall and on the call join the same game.
- Play, poll, draw. Run the quiz between talks, let the polls close it out, then use the Lucky draw button for the final prize.
Questions
Can remote employees join?
Yes. Share the big screen on your video call (Zoom, Teams, Meet or any other) and everyone joins on their phone with the PIN. The room and the call play in one game.
How many people can play?
Free plan: quizzes (including Majority rules) up to 100 players, party games (Team battle, Lucky draw, Breach, Undercover) up to 15. Plus: 300 in every game. Pro: 2,000. Event Pass: 500 or 2,000 for one event, 7 days, no subscription. Paid plans and Event Passes are coming soon. An all-hands with more than 100 people, or a lucky draw with more than 15, needs Plus, Pro or an Event Pass.
Who sees the answers?
The big screen never names anyone for a wrong answer, and Majority rules shows how the room split rather than who was right. Players choose their own nickname. The host can download the results afterward.
Do players need an app or an account?
No. Players open lumibout.com, type the PIN and a name, and they’re in. Only the host signs in, with an email link.
