Split Decision: a light game-theory question for any crowd
Two pots of points appear on the big screen, say 100 and 30. Everyone places tickets on their phone, and each pot is shared by the tickets on it. The big pot is tempting, so it gets crowded; the small one can pay more per ticket. Read the crowd, spread your tickets, and see the payout per ticket at the reveal.
How it plays
- Add it to any quiz. Pick Split Decision as the question type and name the two pots. Each player gets a ticket budget for the whole quiz.
- Place your tickets. On their phone, players put tickets on either pot, or sit a round out to save them.
- The pots pay out. Each pot is split evenly among its tickets. The big screen shows the tickets on each pot and what one ticket earned.
- Out of tickets? Still in. Players with no tickets left call which pot will pay more per ticket, and score when they are right.
When to use it
- Sales kickoffs and strategy days
- Economics and math lessons
- A twist between trivia rounds
